Mayo Clinic Update

First of all, thank you so much for all your prayers and support. My family and I are humbled that you would be so diligent and loving, brothers and sisters in Christ.

At the Mayo I found out I might have Parkinson’s disease.

They don’t really know because the way my symptoms are showing is not a “normal” way Parkinson’s presents itself.

So I am to take medicine for Parkinson's to see if those symptoms get better.

If they do it means I have it, and if all the other symptoms get better as well then I just got it a weird way.

If the other symptoms don’t go away I could have something else wrong with me

So as of right now, I don’t know what is wrong. But at least we are trying to find out.

Again, thank you so much for your prayers and support.

As I get more information I will let you all know.

These passages have been a huge help to me, I have been in very hard place for a long time but God is good, He is the lover of my soul, and promises it will all work together for good.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 17Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— 18Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Please continue to pray for the Scozz family as well as Calvary Santa Fe

Pastor Paul,

Our prayers continue for you and your family.

So many changes and life redefined by the uncertainty and constraints of illness. Yet, His unfailing, unchanging love lavished on us gives us the opportunity to let Him define us if we allow it. It's hard to surrender the gifts, talents, desires that He's given us...so easy to think they belong to us. So good to know that we can trust Him with them and that surrender doesn't necessarily mean having to relinquish them. I have to remind myself that He gives good gifts to His children and that what is now so overwhelming is but a chapter in an unfinished script...and He knows the outcome and has graciously shared it...

and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."
Revelation 21:4-5 NASB

...I'm so looking forward to that day and I do think it's not that far off *smile*

We're in prayer for your family as that dynamic gets tweaked and it's been for us the hardest hit and most blessed. We have been strengthened and those relationships are stronger than they would have been otherwise. I'd of opted for a different lesson plan...but then I'm that lump of clay *full* of suggestions for the Potter. His grace and patience are amazing and I'm grateful that He listens but doesn't take my counsel!

Anyhow, thank you for 'living out loud' as the Lord has used/is using your family more than you will know this side of heaven to bundles and bunches of us. I pray that you will rest in Him and know that you continue to minister to this flock and the incredible testimony of Wendy and the boys...they are pictures of grace. We are in prayer for our fellowship as it continues in Him and that we all be careful to hear His voice.

Gentle Hugs in Him,
Debbi and family

When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul.
Psalm 94:19 NASB

Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy.
Psalm 61:1-3 NASB

My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.
Psalm 62:5 NASB

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners; To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
Isaiah 61:1-3 NASB

We love you Pastor Paul! You are always in our prayers. We miss all of our fam at Calvary Santa Fe. But, we are very well taken care of at New Life! We are glad to hear that you are safe and sound.
The Lord has done a
mighty work through you guys at Calvary Santa Fe especially in our family. Gods words through you spoke so soundly and precise to John and I. We could finally see, hear and embrace the truth of the cross. Thank You for the nuturing and love you all gave us! You gave us milk gently and fed us healthy meat!

Because of your obedience to His word and calling of being a teacher
we too share in the blessing of knowing and following Jesus Christ. Be encouraged that the Clemens family is honored and blessed to have been born again and fed so amazingly through you! We hope you can get back to what you love! Apologetics! Go Paul! God Bless You, Wendy, and the boys. Love The Clemens Clan!!
